関空🇯🇵 to バンコク🇹🇭スワンナプーム空港✈️ MM91
バンコク🇹🇭ドンムアン空港✈️ to ラオス🇱🇦ルアンパバーン空港✈️ FD1030
ルアンパバーン空港に到着後、街までは乗合タクシー。
空港ですることは、SIMカードの入手と両替。
2023年9月現在、ラオスキープは大暴落中なので、ラオス人もあまりキープを信じてなさそう。ちなみに街中では、ほぼUSドルかタイバーツでも支払える。
ここで気をつけないといけないのは、ルアンパバーンを離れる時に、あまったキープをUSドルに両替しようと思ったら、街中の銀行も空港の両替所でも断られた。笑
「We don’t have US$!!!」とピシャリ。笑
それだけ、この国の人たちはUSドルを渡したくないんだろうなと思いながら、結局、日本円にしてもらった。
[旅話]
SIMカードも難なくゲットし、乗合タクシーに乗る。
行き先をカウンターで伝え、お金を払い、駐車場に連れていかれた。
先に車に乗っていたのは、まさかの日本人！
「日本の方ですか？」
「はい！」
「私も！日本人です！ご旅行ですか？」
「あ、はい。そうです。ひとりですけどね笑」
もちろん、私もひとりである。一人旅は胸を張っていいのだ！！！！！と心の中で叫んだ。笑
「私もひとりです！色々あって、日本から飛び出してきました！」
「え！私も仕事辞めて、思い切ってきたんです！帰る日は決めてなくて…」
えええ、すごいなあ…
今までの旅でも、帰る日を決めずに旅したことなんかないわ〜
かっこいい。
「私も仕事を辞めて…仲間ですね！
同じ街に、同じ日本人で、同じ境遇の人がいるって心強いです！」
心の底から思った。一人旅だけど、独りじゃないと思った。
「お互い良い旅にしましょう！」
と普段なら言わないようなセリフをサラッと言えてしまうのも、
異国の地ならではなのかもしれない。笑

After arriving at Luang Prabang Airport, take a shared taxi to the city.
At the airport, you can get a SIM card and exchange currency.
As of September 2023, the Laotian Kip is experiencing a significant depreciation, so it seems that even Laotians do not have much confidence in it. By the way, in the city, you can pay with either US dollars or Thai Baht.
One thing to be careful about is that when leaving Luang Prabang and trying to exchange the remaining Kip into US dollars, both the banks in the city and the exchange offices at the airport refused. Haha
“We don’t have US$!!!” They said bluntly.
It seems that people in this country really don’t want to accept US dollars. In the end, I had to convert my Kip to Japanese yen.
[Travel Story]
I easily got a SIM card and hopped into a shared taxi.
I conveyed my destination at the counter, paid the money, and was taken to the parking lot.
To my surprise, there was another Japanese person in the car!
“Are you from Japan?”
“Yes!”
“I am too! Are you here for a trip?”
“Oh, yes. That’s right. I’m traveling alone, though. Haha”
Of course, I am also traveling alone. Traveling alone is something to be proud of!! I shouted in my mind. Haha
“I’m also traveling alone! I had some tough times and decided to leave Japan! Haha”
“Wow! I quit my job too and decided to take a leap! I haven’t decided on my return date yet…”
Wow, that’s amazing… I’ve never traveled without setting a return date before…
Impressive.
“I’m unemployed too! We’re comrades!
It’s reassuring to know that there is someone from the same city, the same Japanese, and in the same situation!”
I genuinely felt that from the bottom of my heart. Even though I’m traveling alone, I felt like I’m not alone.
“Let’s have a great trip!”
I casually said a line that I wouldn’t usually say.
Perhaps it’s because I’m in a foreign land. Haha
