今日は、ルアンパバーンで食べた物を紹介します☺️
毎朝、ドラゴンフルーツ、バナナ、スイカ、パンケーキを食べる生活が１週間続くと帰国してからも、朝はフルーツが食べたく体になってしまいました！笑
ドラゴンフルーツがあんなに美味しいものだと知らなかった！
日本で食べたら見た目に気を取られて、味の印象がないけど、
こっちで食べたらさっぱりしてて美味しいー！
その土地でとれた食べ物は、その土地で食べるのが一番美味しいですよね。
日本の焼き鳥とかね、夏の蒸し暑い日にビールと一緒に。とか
ドイツのビールとか。
東南アジアの冷えてないフルーツとか。。。

①Zurich Bread Factory & Cafe
チキンフォーとコーヒー１杯で1,100円くらい。
ラオスの物価からするとめっちゃ高い。
でも、ここのフォーと上のお皿のライスのお煎餅みたいなものが最高に美味しかった！！
パン屋さんなので、パンもおすすめです！
②Yuni Yupoun
雲いきが怪しいなあと思い、ちょうどお昼ご飯を探していたので、雰囲気が良いしふらっと入ってみた。
ここで食べた野菜炒飯が美味しかった！
※野菜チャーハンは大体20,000キープなのに、チキンや牛などのお肉が入ったチャーハンになると、1.75倍の35,000キープになる。
35,000キープも、日本円でたった260円ほどだが、
お肉の高さが信じられなくて、この旅中は、ずっと野菜チャーハンを食べ続けた。笑
③Indigo Cafe
おしゃれ、フランスっぽい、美味しい。
ここのバナナケーキが美味しくて、美味しくて。
立地もメインストリートの入り口にあって利用しやすい！
ただ、上の写真で700円ほどなんですが、帰国してクレジットの明細を確認すると、7000円の文字が…..
やってしまった…
キープは０が多すぎて、レジの人が打ち間違えたのを、私もちゃんと確認してなかったんです。
カード会社に確認したけど、「お客様の対面でのお支払いです。」との連絡が。
70,000円じゃなくてよかった。
良い勉強になりました。
皆さん、0が多い国での支払いは気をつけてください。涙
味は美味しいし、雰囲気も良いので、おすすめです！
④Atsalin Restaurant
最後にご紹介するのが、カフェじゃないんですけど、地元の人たちもいく食堂！
写真にも書いてあるけど、お値段148円！
スープもついてくる！しかもここのチャーハン、少しカレースパイスの味付けでめっちゃ美味しい！
出発前夜に行ったんですが、毎晩ここで十分なくらい、美味しいし、安いし、地元の人たちがいっぱいいるから現地の雰囲気も楽しめる！
ここは是非、行ってみてください！！
ラオスのご飯は、日本人の口にも合うと思います。
ていうか、ほぼ一緒な気がする。笑
日本にラオス料理屋さんないかなあ
あ、あと、ラオスで驚いたのが、クレジットカードの手数料に2.5%から3%かかります。毎度。
日本では、カードの手数料はお店負担だけど、ラオスはお客さん負担だそうです！

A Variety of Fruits
Today, I would like to introduce the food I had in Luang Prabang. ☺️
Every morning, I had dragon fruit, bananas, watermelon, and pancakes. Even after returning home, I still crave fruits in the morning! I never knew dragon fruit could be so delicious. In Japan, I was always captivated by its appearance, but here, it tastes refreshing and delicious!
The best way to enjoy food is by eating it in the place where it comes from. Like having yakitori in Japan with a cold beer on hot summer days, or enjoying German beer. Or even indulging in the fresh, tropical fruits of Southeast Asia.

Zurich Bread Factory & Cafe:
The chicken pho and a cup of coffee cost around 1,100 yen, which is quite expensive compared to the cost of living in Laos. However, the pho here and the rice crackers on the plate were absolutely delicious! As a bakery, they also have great bread to recommend!
Yuni Yupoun:
I found the atmosphere of this place intriguing as I was searching for lunch. The vegetable fried rice I had here was delicious!
(Please note that while a vegetable fried rice usually costs around 20,000 kip, adding chicken or beef to the dish increases the price to 35,000 kip, which is still incredibly affordable at around 260 yen in Japanese currency. Nonetheless, I couldn’t believe the price difference for meat, so I opted for vegetable fried rice throughout my trip. 😂)
Indigo Cafe:
Stylish, with a French vibe, and the food is delicious. Their banana cake is incredibly tasty. The location is convenient, right at the entrance of the main street. However, I made a mistake here. The price in the photo was around 700 yen, but when I checked my credit card statement after returning home, it said 7,000 yen! Oops. It turned out that there were too many zeros, and I didn’t double-check with the cashier. When I contacted the credit card company, they said, “The payment was made in person.” I’m just glad it wasn’t 70,000 yen. It was a good lesson learned. So, please be careful with payments in countries with lots of zeros. 😭 Despite that, the taste is delicious, and I recommend it because the atmosphere is great!
Atsalin Restaurant:
Lastly, I want to introduce a local dining spot instead of a café. As stated in the photo, the price here is only 148 yen! It even comes with soup. Plus, their fried rice with a touch of curry spice is extremely delicious! I went here the night before my departure, and the food was so good and cheap that I ended up having dinner here almost every night. It’s a great place to experience the local ambiance since many locals are also frequent visitors. I highly recommend you visit this place!
I think Laotian cuisine suits the taste of Japanese people. In fact, they are quite similar. 😂 I wish there were Laotian restaurants in Japan.
Oh, one more thing that surprised me in Laos was the credit card fee of 2.5% to 3%. Each time! In Japan, the fee is borne by the store, but in Laos, it is passed on to the customers. If you think it’s a waste, I recommend using cash when you’re there! Thank you for reading until the end today. ☺️
